Our Coaches

Elaine Vescio

Elaine has a bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and interned at Massachusetts General Hospital. For five years she set up corporate and community wellness programs, and currently is a full time coach and owner of Vmps. 

An endurance athlete for 30+ years, Elaine has made the podium in numerous events in running, cycling, and triathlons, including winning the 1991 Sri Chimnoy Marathon and qualifying for the 2010 World Duathlon Championships. A USA Triathlon Certified Coach and IRONMAN Certified Coach, Elaine has been coaching endurance athletes for thirteen years, successfully applying her education, experience, and overall love of the sport to help people achieve their endurance sports goals.



Don Vescio

A competitive cyclist for 35 years, Don has set numerous time trial course records at cycling events in the United States and Canada and has been a multiple gold medalist in New York's Empire State Games, as well as at New York's and Pennsylvania's State time trial championships and Ontario's provincial championships.  He also has medaled in the time trial at the USA Cycling's Open and Masters championships.  


Don has faced the challenge of coming back from two separate horrific accidents where he was hit by vehicles and sustained devastating injuries. Despite the permanent disabilities, chronic pain, and inability to use aerobars, usually Don posts the fastest bike splits in triathlons and other timed bicycle competitions. 


Don is a tenured college professor at Worcester State University.  He brings his years of teaching and racing experience to help his clients achieve their goals in a flexible and supportive fashion.  A USA Cycling Certified Coach, Don has over twenty-five years of coaching experience and many of his clients have achieved considerable success at the regional and national level. 



Marc Saucier

Marc has been a competitive triathlete for over 30 years and has competed in 15 Ironman Triathlons, including 4 Ironman Hawaii World Championships, IM Mont Tremblant, IM Florida, and IM Wisconsin. 

In addition to his long course experience, Marc has earned All American status awarded by USA Triathlon for several years including 2010 and 2011, represented the USA at the 2002 ITU Age Group World Championships in Cancun, Mexico, and at the 2013 ITU Age Group World Championships held in London, England. Marc has numerous age group podium finishes in both local and national level races.  Marc has competed in other single and multisport races such as the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon, Sea-to-Summit Triathlon, the Mt Washington “Inferno” Pentathlon, Weston Winter Triathlon, XTerra triathlons, Mt. Washington bike races and running races, and several marathons with a marathon PR of 2:59:59. 


Marc has been successfully coaching both beginner and experienced triathletes for over 10 years and is a USA Triathlon Certified Coach and a USA Track & Field Coach.  In addition he coaches Cross Country, Indoor Track and Spring Track at Littleton High School and is the Race Director for the AppleMan Triathlon.


Jen Abbott

Jen started doing triathlon eight years ago as a hobby after she had her two children. She quickly became addicted to the sport. Over the past three years, she has focused on becoming more competitive in triathlon competing at Nationals, numerous regional events, and several long course events. 

Jen decided to become a triathlon coach after volunteering as a swim angel at a sprint triathlon. The woman who Jen accompanied on the swim was so appreciative that she inspired Jen to help others who are new to triathlon. 

Jen is an IRONMAN Certified Coach, USA Triathlon Certified Coach, a USA Triathlon Certified Youth/Junior Coach, Road Runners Club of America Certified Coach, and Newton Running Certified Coach. A former high school math and chemistry teacher with a Master's in Educational Leadership, Jen brings her teaching knowledge and background to help others achieve their goals in a fun and informed manner. Her clients marvel at Jen's athlete-centered approach to coaching that helps them to achieve their goals while balancing other demands for their time and energy.
